Food Safety Policy

Each Food Safety Management System Certification Program requires that Management develop a food safety policy. This is a statement that management will compose that reflects the organization’s commitment to providing a safe product. Stating the goal that the company will continually strive to meet, it will provide a basis for business objectives that support the policy. Once the food safety policy is established, objectives can be defined that are measurable and that when met will result in meeting the terms of your food safety policy.

The food safety policy must be communicated to everyone in the organization. Be sure to include it in all languages used in the facility.
