FSSC 22000 Certification: Who issues certificates?
In order to receive an FSSC 22000 Certificate you will need to have a Certification Audit performed by an associated certification body. This is an accredited organization. A full list of accredited certification bodies can be found on the FSSC website.
Certification bodies who want to become associated and accredited for FSSC 22000 first have to sign a Letter of Intent for a provisional license. The certification bodies who want to become associated with FSSC 22000 have to sign a Letter of Intent. The provisional license, granted by this letter of intent, is intended to give the certification body the opportunity to approach a limited number of potential clients to prove their competence to the accreditation body.
