Overview
Simply put, aseptic processing requires that the product and package are processed separately and subsequently combined. Each step in the process must maintain its sterility throughout. The primary benefit of this process is that the food will undergo minor changes while maintaining superior quality and taste, which is not always a guarantee with other methods.
This course will cover
- aseptic processing and real-world examples
- packaging systems
- responsibility of the aseptic operator
- components of an aseptic system (i.e. automatic flow diversion valve, surge tanks, etc.)
- heating mechanisms and processing times

Each Chapter includes videos, followed by interactive exercises that allow you to work with the information, and practice using it using real-world scenarios. There are interactive exercises within the training which you must pass, with a score of 80%, in order to move on to the next. If you do not pass, you may try again.
